The Tiny Homes Micro-credential is an entry level, hands-on construction program designed to introduce Year 10 students to real trade skills through a live build environment. Created to support VET pathways and job-ready capability, the course provides practical experience in construction workflow, safety requirements, and the foundational techniques involved in building a tiny home. Delivered on school grounds through an authentic building project, the program enables learners to develop core trade skills in a practical supported setting. NSWIET work collaboratively with schools and industry partners to deliver high impact training that can be delivered on site and aligned to Career Education, VET engagement, and applied learning initiatives.

Pathway Outcomes

This micro-credential supports a genuine pathway into trade training, including progression into the CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry (and related construction qualifications). By developing key foundational skills early, learners gain confidence, capability and clearer career direction to support both individual employment outcomes and the broader construction industry skills shortage.
